We would rather you understood the price than were surprised by it. Here is how the number you see when you book is put together.
Fixed fares come first
For the routes we run most often, the London airports to central London, the cruise terminals, airport-to-airport transfers, we hold a fixed price for each vehicle. If your journey matches one of those routes, that is the price you see.
Otherwise, distance
For everything else the estimate is built from the vehicle's base fare plus a rate per mile, and never falls below that vehicle's minimum fare. Larger vehicles cost more per mile than a saloon because they cost more to run.
Hourly hire
If your day has several stops, or the timings are uncertain, hourly hire is usually better value than booking separate journeys. The car and driver stay with you and you pay the vehicle's hourly rate for the hours booked, subject to a minimum hire length.
What can change the total
- Meet & greet: a fixed fee added when you select it
- Child seats: charged per seat, and availability should be confirmed with us before travel
- Night rate: a percentage uplift on journeys in the early hours
- Return journeys: the return leg is discounted against the outbound
Why it is called an estimate
The price is based on the information you supply when you book. If the pickup location, destination, passenger numbers, luggage or vehicle requirements change afterwards, the price can change too. Our office confirms the final price before you travel, and any additional charges are communicated where reasonably possible.
