Gatwick has two terminals, North and South, on opposite sides of the airport and linked by a shuttle. They are far enough apart that arriving at the wrong one matters, so tell us which terminal you are using when you book and your driver will be in the right place.
Meeting your driver at Gatwick
For arrivals we meet you in the arrivals hall of your terminal with a name board, once you are through immigration and have your bags. The driver will call or message the number on the booking as well. If you are travelling light and would rather be picked up from the short stay car park, tell us when you book.
The two terminals each have their own arrivals area, forecourt and car parks. The shuttle between them runs frequently and takes only a few minutes, but it is not somewhere you want to be discovering you need to be at the moment your driver is waiting on the other side of the airport.
Departures
Drop-offs use the terminal forecourt. Gatwick charges vehicles to use it, and that charge is included in the price you are quoted rather than added on the day. The South Terminal forecourt in particular backs up during the early morning departure wave, so we allow for the queue when planning your pickup.
The hours we run
We collect and drop off between 8am and 6pm. Gatwick's departure schedule starts long before that, so if you are on one of its early flights the transfer cannot happen on the morning of travel.
What we can do is take you down the day before, which is what most passengers on those flights end up doing anyway rather than leaving home at three in the morning. Tell us the time you need to be at the terminal and we will say honestly whether it falls inside our hours.
How long the journey takes
Gatwick sits south of London on the M23, close to the M25 junction. That makes it straightforward from south London and the south coast, and slower from the north and west of the capital.
- Central London — typically an hour to an hour and a half, depending on traffic and where you are going
- South London and Surrey — often well under an hour outside peak times
- Heathrow — a run round the M25 that is very sensitive to congestion; allow considerably more than the map suggests
- Brighton and the south coast — a short and generally reliable run down the A23 and M23
These are typical ranges. The M23 and the M25 both queue at peak times, so we build extra time into the plan rather than quoting the best case.
Flight monitoring
Give us your flight number and we track the arrival, moving the collection earlier or later to match. Free waiting time runs from when the flight actually lands, not from the time originally scheduled, so a delay does not turn into a waiting charge.

Luggage and larger groups
Gatwick handles a lot of holiday traffic, which means full-size suitcases, pushchairs and occasionally sports equipment. Tell us what you are carrying and we will put you in a vehicle that takes it. Skis, golf clubs and instruments need mentioning at the point of booking rather than discovered at the kerb, because they change which vehicle we send.
Booking your Gatwick Airport transfer
Every journey is arranged and accepted in advance. We are a licensed private hire operator, not a street-hail taxi service, so cars cannot be flagged down or picked up from a rank.

- The passenger name and a contact telephone number
- Correct pickup and destination addresses
- The date and required pickup time
- The number of passengers, and the amount and size of luggage
- Flight or sailing details where they apply
- Any accessibility requirements that affect the vehicle we send
The price shown when you book is an estimate based on what you tell us. Our office confirms the final price before you travel, and it does not change afterwards because of traffic or a longer route.
