Charing Cross Station Transfers

Private hire to and from London Charing Cross, in the heart of the West End.

Charing Cross sits at the bottom of the Strand, on the edge of the West End and a short walk from Trafalgar Square. It serves Southeastern routes into Kent and south east London, and its position makes it one of the more convenient central stations for theatres, government offices and West End hotels.

Where we meet you

The Strand and the station forecourt are busy and stopping is restricted. Your driver agrees a meeting point with you in advance and calls when close. For arrivals with luggage we can meet you inside the station with a name board.

Journeys people book from Charing Cross

  • To the airports — Heathrow and Gatwick most often, both full journeys across or out of London
  • To West End hotels and theatres — short runs where a car with luggage beats a walk
  • To the other main line terminals — Kings Cross, Euston, Paddington and Victoria, all awkward with cases
  • Out into Kent — where the onward connection is inconvenient or the last train has gone

West End traffic

Journeys around Charing Cross are short in distance and unpredictable in time. Trafalgar Square, the Strand and Whitehall are all subject to events, closures and demonstrations at short notice. We plan with margin and the driver will take whatever route is actually moving on the day.

The hours we run

We collect and drop off between 8am and 6pm, so an evening performance is outside our hours for the journey home. Matinees are not: booking the return at the same time as the outbound saves standing on the Strand afterwards looking for a car.

Booking your Charing Cross Station transfer

Every journey is arranged and accepted in advance. We are a licensed private hire operator, not a street-hail taxi service, so cars cannot be flagged down or picked up from a rank.

When you request a journey, please give us:

  • The passenger name and a contact telephone number
  • Correct pickup and destination addresses
  • The date and required pickup time
  • The number of passengers, and the amount and size of luggage
  • Flight or sailing details where they apply
  • Any accessibility requirements that affect the vehicle we send

The price shown when you book is an estimate based on what you tell us. Our office confirms the final price before you travel, and it does not change afterwards because of traffic or a longer route.

Trafalgar Square, the Strand and Whitehall are subject to events, closures and demonstrations at short notice. We plan with margin and the driver takes whatever route is moving on the day.

Yes. It is a full cross-London journey, so we allow generous time, particularly during the morning and evening peaks.

Yes. Journeys to Kings Cross, Euston, Paddington and Victoria are regular bookings, and far easier with luggage than the Underground.
