King's Cross Station Transfers

Private hire to and from London King’s Cross and neighbouring St Pancras International.

Kings Cross is the London terminus of the East Coast Main Line, running north to York, Newcastle, Edinburgh and Leeds. It sits directly beside St Pancras International, which is where Eurostar services arrive and leave, and the two are close enough to walk between but far enough apart to matter when someone is meeting you.

Kings Cross or St Pancras

This is the most common source of confusion at this location. They are two separate stations sharing a corner. If your train is a Eurostar, or a Thameslink or East Midlands service, you want St Pancras. If it is LNER, Great Northern or a Grand Central or Lumo service, you want Kings Cross. Tell us which when you book and your driver waits at the right one.

Where we meet you

The roads immediately around Kings Cross are heavily restricted, with limited stopping and frequent enforcement. Rather than circling, your driver arranges a specific meeting point with you before you arrive and calls when they are close. For arrivals we can meet you inside the station concourse with a name board if you would prefer not to search for a car.

Journeys people book from Kings Cross

  • To the airports — Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted and Luton, usually for passengers arriving from the north and connecting onward
  • Into the City and the West End — a short run that is nonetheless slow at peak times
  • To hotels and meetings — with luggage, where the Underground is a poor option
  • Out to the home counties — where the onward rail connection is awkward or has stopped for the night

The hours we run

We collect and drop off between 8am and 6pm. The first departures north and the last arrivals into Kings Cross fall outside that, so check your train times against our hours before booking.

Within those hours, a delayed train is not a problem: call the office and we will move the collection rather than run up a waiting charge, provided the new time is still inside our operating window.

Luggage

Passengers coming off a long-distance service usually have full-size luggage, and the walk from platform to street at Kings Cross is not short. Tell us how many cases you have and we will send a vehicle with the boot space, rather than something that technically seats everyone.

Booking your King's Cross Station transfer

Every journey is arranged and accepted in advance. We are a licensed private hire operator, not a street-hail taxi service, so cars cannot be flagged down or picked up from a rank.

When you request a journey, please give us:

  • The passenger name and a contact telephone number
  • Correct pickup and destination addresses
  • The date and required pickup time
  • The number of passengers, and the amount and size of luggage
  • Flight or sailing details where they apply
  • Any accessibility requirements that affect the vehicle we send

The price shown when you book is an estimate based on what you tell us. Our office confirms the final price before you travel, and it does not change afterwards because of traffic or a longer route.

King's Cross Station transfers: common questions

No. They are two separate stations on the same corner. Eurostar, Thameslink and East Midlands services use St Pancras International; LNER and other East Coast services use Kings Cross. Tell us which one you need when you book.

At a specific point agreed before you arrive, because stopping around the station is heavily restricted. Your driver calls when they are close, and we can meet you inside the concourse with a name board if you prefer.

Yes. Call the office with the new arrival time and we will move the collection. We would much rather adjust the booking than have a driver waiting on a restricted street.

Not usually. We run between 8am and 6pm, and the first departures north and the last arrivals into London both fall outside that. Anything inside those hours we cover as normal.

Yes, and it is one of the more common journeys we run from this station. Give us the number of suitcases when you book so the vehicle has the boot space for them.
